Frequently asked questions

Where is your pottery made?

Footprint Pottery is a small studio based in Yorkshire, where all pieces are made by hand in small batches. Each item is thrown on the pottery wheel, glazed by hand and fired in the kiln before being released as part of the collection.

Where to find the pottery

In addition to the website, Footprint Pottery is often available at craft markets and events across Yorkshire. These are a lovely opportunity to see the pottery in person and feel the weight and texture of the pieces.

Do you take commissions?

Commissions can be as simple as adjusting the size or glaze of an existing design, or as personal as creating something completely new.

Because each piece is made by hand and goes through a full making cycle, commissions usually take6–8 weeksto complete. Larger orders may take longer. If you need something for a specific date, such as a wedding or event, please get in touch early to avoid disappointment.
