  • I bought my mug from Footprint Pottery at a local market. I'd been looking for a mug for myself for a while. I like that no-one else has one just like it.

  • I bought a Garcia mug in Pistachio Tide. The first thing I noticed about my new mug is that its so light! Im so happy with it.

Choosing your favourite mug

Choosing a new favourite mug often comes down to the small details. The weight in the hand, the curve of the rim and the shape of the handle all influence how it feels to use each day. Handmade mugs offer something slightly different from mass-produced cups because each one is shaped individually on the pottery wheel. When choosing a mug, think about the size you prefer for coffee or tea and the form that feels most comfortable to hold. I have a few mug shapes for you to choose from.

Made in small batches

Mugs are made in small batches throughout the year rather than large production runs. Often there are only a few pieces of each glaze and shape available at a time. Once a particular combination has sold out it may not return again, which keeps the collection evolving.
