What makes the Garcia mug a customer favourite

Some mugs just feel right. The Garcia Mug is one of those.

Hand-thrown on the wheel with a gently curved base and a straight upper wall, it's become a quiet favourite around the studio and with good reason. The shape is balanced and comfortable to hold, with a solid weight that feels good in your hand without being too heavy. It’s the one we all reach for when making tea first thing or topping up coffee mid-morning.

One customer recently told us it’s now her “everyday mug,” which is exactly how we imagined it being used.

Every Garcia is made individually. No two are quite the same, each mug has its own little quirks and character from the making process. The glaze catches the light just enough without shouting for attention. It fits in, quietly doing its job well, day after day.

We believe that simple things should be made well. The Garcia Mug is a good example of that. It’s thoughtful design, without overthinking it.
